Folktales & Fables: The Crow and The Pitcher

The story begins with a thirsty crow in search of something to drink. The crow comes across a pitcher with water at the bottom. There’s only one problem, the crows beak is not long enough to reach the water. After attempting and failing to knock the pitcher over, the crow notices a pile of pebbles off to the side. One by one the crow places the pebbles inside the pitcher slowly but surely raising the water level until it is high enough for its beak to reach.

This story speaks of problem solving, mental fortitude, cleverness and overcoming obstacles.
